Maison Jeanne is a tastefully renovated traditional stone mountain house, which dates back as far as the 16th century. This picturesque Bed & Breakfast only 8 km from Luchon, in the quaint mountain village of St Paul d’Oeuil, nestles in the breathtakingly beautiful Vallee d'Oeuil where red deer can be heard wandering in the forest and hills above.

If you enjoy your home comforts as well as loving the great outdoors, Maison Jeanne is definitely the accommodation for you. You will find crackling wood burners, rustic character with honey coloured wooden interiors and spacious rooms with comfortable beds, crisp white linen and cosy duvets.

A hearty warm breakfast of local ingredients is served in the garden in the summer or in the cosy guest lounge in the winter, where you will also find an honesty bar with local French wines and a selection of board games and books about the area.

With fabulous hiking, cycling and ski touring right from the front gate, Maison Jeanne is the ideal base for outdoor enthusiasts to discover the hidden delights of the Pyrenees all year around.

Maison Jeanne is also the perfect spot to unwind from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The house is surrounded by an idyllic country garden, ideal for relaxing whilst enjoying the stunning mountain views and abundance of wildlife.

Located at 1080 metres in altitude and eight km from Bagneres de Luchon, the largest and most fashionable of the Pyrenean spa towns, there is much to discover around Maison Jeanne including the family friendly ski resorts of Peyragudes, Superbagneres and Bourg d'Oeuil, as well as the famous Cols of the Tour de France.

OUR ROOMS
All of our rooms are named after great explorers and each one has its own unique feel with lovely views of the garden and the Pyrenees. All are warmly appointed with antique style furniture and chic décor and allow for peaceful relaxation after a day of hiking, cycling, skiing or exploring........
OUR SERVICES
Breakfast
Breakfast is served in our cosy guest dining room or in summer on the terrace in the garden. Our hearty breakfasts include freshly cooked eggs and our house speciality galettes as well as freshly baked bread and croissants, local jams and honey, porridge, muesli, cereals, yoghurts, fruit and juices, freshly brewed coffee, tea & hot chocolate

Garden
Our picturesque country garden is the perfect spot to unwind from the hustle and bustle of everyday life whilst enjoying the views, the sound of cowbells and the abundance of wildlife. Of an evening, you can chill by the fire pit whilst melting marshmallows on sticks or maybe sip a glass of wine whilst reclining in the hammocks or deckchairs

Guest lounge
Our guest lounge has comfy armchairs to relax in front of the woodburning stove whilst listening to music and leafing through the array of books of the local region. We have detailed hiking maps of the area which we are happy to loan to guests. There is also a selection of board games to play and a variety of DVDs for children to watch.
Refreshments
All of our rooms have tea and filter coffee making facilities. We also provide bottles of mountain spring water. From the honesty bar in the guest lounge you can enjoy a local French wine or cold beer or a soft drink.
Housekeeping
We provide free toiletries and hairdryers in the bathrooms. Dressing gowns are available on request. Bed linen and towels are changed in keeping with our environmental policy and on request. We have a drying room available for your wet gear.
Dining
There are a couple of excellent mountain restaurants in the nearby villages serving traditional local food - El Almacen de Cires and La Ferme d'Espiau. You can also picnic in our guest dining room in winter or in the garden in summer.

Hiking
From gentle valley walks to exploring 3000m summits, the unspoilt nature of the mountains and the lack of crowds give a real sense of escape to the Pyrenees. Many walks begin right from the front gate of the house......

Whether you choose challenging Tour de France climbs or more leisurely routes, there's something for every fitness level, but you'll always be accompanied by a stunning Pyrenees mountain backdrop
Mountain biking
From wooded downhill trails to long mountain descents, the Pyrenees offers mountain bikers a huge choice. For advanced mountain bikers there are long fast descents from the top of Superbagneres, accessed via the gondola lift from the centre of Bagneres de Luchon, where there are several specialist shops to hire mountain bikes.
Cultural sights
Visit the delightful medieval hill-top village of St-Bertrand-de-Comminges. Best described as a land locked Mont St Michel, the village is dwarfed beneath the imposing Sainte-Marie Cathedral and has many old houses, sloping alleyways, museums, bars, restaurants and craft shops that add considerably to its charm.
Relax in the nearby spa towns
The Pyrenees is the perfect destination to unwind, de-stress and get back to nature. Maison Jeanne is an oasis of calm to relax in. You can arrange to be pampered whilst lounging in the natural pools and thermal spas of the numerous spa resorts including Bagneres de Luchon, Balnea Spa in Loudenvielle and the Thermes at Les.
